School Director
Vicky Martinez
I have lived and breathed this form of education for more than 17 years. While living in Mexico City and pursuing a career with a newly acquired degree in International Commerce, I was exposed to the Montessori way of teaching. This exposure inspired me to pursue a career in becoming a Montessori teacher. I absolutely love it when young children are exposed to Montessori. I am always in awe of their potential and their infinite curiosity for learning.

Natascha Victor

Pre-Primary Teacher
Mari Archevalata
I have been a private school preschool teacher since 2010. Recently I had the privilege to work in the public school system this will be my first year instructing in the Montessori method. I briefly practiced Montessori at home with my children, (ages 13, 3, and 1), and I excited to bring what I have learned to the class setting.
Teacher Assistant

I have been part of the Sunset Montessori team for five years. I am very excited to get to know each and every one of our new students this upcoming year. There is nothing better than seeing what kids are capable of, especially when they get to use our practical life materials. I enjoy their faces when they learn something new.
Assistant Primary Teacher
Magui Tapia
I am ecstatic to be working with your toddler as their Spanish teacher. I was born and raised in Jalisco, Mexico. I can't wait to help your little one blossom in Spanish. It's going to be a great year full of new friends, adventures, and discoveries for your child. I'm excited to spend time with your child and help them grow in our Pre-primary program!
Kindergarten Teacher
Lorena
Teaching has been my passion for over 10 years. I'm all about creating a loving and supportive environment where every kid feels valued. Seeing my students learn, grow, and laugh is the best part of my day. It makes me proud when they understand and enjoy learning. I don’t have a favorite subject because each subject allows me to connect with every student. As a hands-on and spiritual teacher, I introduce mantras to the kids, and we always have music playing—whether it's piano or guitar tunes. I love that my classroom is a place where kids can have fun while they work and feel comfortable being themselves.
Lead Primary Teacher
Luz Santillana
I am so excited to start the new school year with my new and old students. I have taught Montessori for 18 years and I enjoy being able to interact with my students and give presentations on a one-on-one basis. I love reading to my kids about different cultures as well as teaching children from different cultures. I always learn so much from them!

I am excited to be part of the SMC family. I have lived in Henderson for the past 25 years. I have my BS in Early Childhood Education. I have 6 adult children ranging from 26 to three 21 year olds. My children went through the Montessori program and I have witnessed first hand all the benefits and opportunities that have come to my children through their experiences . I look forward to encouraging each child to become independent and encourage an enthusiasm for learning!
